Grandma's Easter Cheese
Ingredients:
18 eggs
1 Quart whole milk
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Tablespoon sugar
Tools:
Double Boiler
Mixing Bowl
Large Whisk
Heat and Water Resitant Gloves
Cheese Cloth
String for hanging the Egg Cheese Ball
Time:
Total - 5 hours
Prep - 10 minutes
Cooking - 15-25 minutes
Drying - 3 - 4 hours
Directions:
Fill a double boiler with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and maintain a gentle boil.
Add the 18 eggs, 1 Quart of whole milk, 1 Tablespon of sugar, and 1 Teaspoon of salt into a mixing bowl.
Beat all the ingredients until smooth.
Pour into a double boiler and start cooking.
Cook in a double boiler until it looks like scrambled eggs.
Put in cheese cloth, carefully squeeze the cloth to remove as much moisture as possible & hang for 3-4 hours. You'll want to use
